Every morning I go out and watch the dawn.
I would not say that dawn is peaceful or serene. Yes, it is calming, in a way, to be up and about when others aren't; to have the space to think without worrying about being bothered, but there's more than that: it's invigorating. It makes me want to run down the street for the sheer joy of running; to dance across the park in my bare feet, just to feel the grass between my toes.
The air feels purer, somehow, in the morning. I take great lungfuls of it, although I know logically it can't be any cleaner here than elsewhere in the city. It feels strangely healthy to be up at this hour (despite the fact I've been up all night, and it's well and truly time I got some sleep).
There's something strangely mesmerising about watching the sun come up. Something in me stills. The energy inside me builds up and up, until I feel I'm about to explode - but that something inside holds me fast. The result is a state of still restlessness; of calm excitement. I laugh out loud simply because I can. No one is around to call me crazy.
Every morning I find myself reminded of a simple truth: No matter how long or dark the night, dawn always comes.

What is this, you ask? I just felt like it.
May you enjoy your day, no matter what time it is.

Sometimes its better to light a flamethrower than curse the darkness.

I always thought love was shaped like a heart,
But its actually shaped like a cross!
